Mabel
Mabel

Porter (FKA Mabel) is an AMAZING dog! She has really brought a lot of joy to our family. She can be quite mischievous...seems to enjoy chewing things up and digging holes...but she's such a love bug! She's always going to be a dirty, roll around in the mud sort of dog...but she seems to enjoy living the more "pampered" life of sleeping in beds, playing all day with her big sister Ziza, chasing tennis balls, chewing bones, neighborhood walks and even geo-caching! We love Porter so much and feel very lucky to have her! Here are some photos of Porter and her new sister Ziza for your website. Thanks for everything! Whenever we transfer an animal, we make information about where they came from available just in case their new family wants to know more about them or update us on how they are doing. Transferring an animal is a difficult thing sometimes, even though we know what a great job our partners do finding them forever homes. Lahdi (fka Lottie) was a dog OOHS had for quite some time. She was having no luck finding the perfect home with us so we transferred her to Oregon Humane. What a pleasant surprise to get a letter from her letting us know how she is doing! Click on Lottie to read her letter. Thanks Lahdi!

Orion
Orion

Orion was a stray dog found at the Lakeview Landfill. We initially could not take him as OOHS had no foster spots available. Off we went with the dogs we did have to the Oregon Pet Expo, all the while wishing we could help him. He had one day left. Luckily, we adopted a dog on the first day of the Expo. We immedialtly called to make sure he was OK and a foster family took him in. He was adopted to a wonderful family in Klamath Falls. here is an update. Bo (formerly known as Orion) is doing awesome! My daughter renamed him and her being a toddler quickly picked the quickest and shortest word which is Bo. He absolutely loves my daughter and my neice..and i think he finally is figuring out he does not have plumbing anymore because he doesn't seem to want to get "friendly" with our female dog, Sheila anymore(much to her happiness..LOL). He is doing great, loves to "talk" and wrestle with me, is putting on some weight in only a few days, has protected me once thinking it was a burgular (it was my husband taking out the trash) and is such a love bug. Thank you guys so much for making our family one member stronger. He's awesome!
